• Dr Rustam Stolkin won a grant from National Nuclear Laboratory “Vision-based trajectory control of unsensored robots to increase functionality, without robot hardware modification” (Total award: £63,473; period: October 2013 – September 2016).
  • Dr Khamis Essa won a new European Space Agency contract "Rapid manufacturing as a key enabler for enhanced monopropellant catalyst bed design" (Total award: €220K; period: 1 year from early 2014).
  • Dr Raya Al-Dadah and Dr Saad Mahmoud won a new TSB/EPSRC Emerging Energy Technologies contract “MOF based adsorption system for integrated energy storage and power generation”, with Weatherite Manufacturing Ltd as the lead partner. (Total project cost: £219,936; EPSRC grant to UoB: £98936; period: January-December 2014.)
  • Dr Bob Cripps won an EPSRC grant for work on "Algebraic modelling of 5 axis tool path motions" (£275k; January 2014 - December 2016)
  • Dr Remi Olatunbosun won an EC TEMPUS grant "Curriculum Development: Highway/Road Construction Engineering and Vehicle Engineering" ( €935k total, €138.5k for Birmingham; December 2013 - November 2015). Remi will collaborate with our colleagues in Civil Engineering and eight partners in Portugal, Romania, Spain and Uzbekistan.
