Richard Burden MP (Lab, Northfield), a former government adviser on motorsport, visited UBRacing, the University’s formula student team as they were making final preparations for this year’s Formula Student competition that takes place this month.

Team Leader, James Waterhouse, and Deputy Team Leader, Francesca Cardilli explained the process of how the team develop the car throughout the year. The team are now testing the car ahead of the competition which takes place on July 09-12 at Silverstone.

Formula Student brings together around 100 teams from around the world to compete in Europe's most established educational motorsport competition which is run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
