The latest book by Professor Nelson Enonchong, The Independence Principle of Letters of Credit and Demand Guarantees (2011) has recently been published by Oxford University Press.

The book examines the nature and scope of the cardinal principle of autonomy of both letters of credit and demand guarantees. It considers the challenges presented by this principle and explores the extent to which it is necessary or desirable to recognise exceptions to the principle in order to prevent abusive demands for payment.
