Sophie Boyron, Senior Lecturer at Birmingham Law School, appears today before the Political and Constitutional Committee of the House of Commons to give evidence in relation to the inquiry into 'The role of the judiciary if there were a codified constitution'.

This inquiry complements the Committee's work on 'Mapping the path to codifying - or not codifying - the UK's constitution'. Sophie Boyron had also appeared as expert witness in relation to this previous inquiry.

Sophie Boyron's research interest lies mainly in public law and European law. She adopts a comparative approach to all her work. Her most recent book is The Constitution of France: A Contextual Analysis, which was published by by Hart earlier in 2013.
