Dr Maureen Mapp will introduce the launch by Zonafide of the first non-cryptocurrency application of the blockchain intended for the general public use. The launch will take place at the Barber Lecture Theatre on 23 March 2017 at 2pm. The event is free.

The Zonafide anti-fraud app that runs on Google Play and Apple iOS is powered by Ethereum uses smart contracts on the Ethereum platform to help fight identify theft through collaborative trust networks. Technically, it is a universally accessible cryptographic multi-sig approval technology that uses smart contracts on the Ethereum platform. The launch of the app is part of a range of teaching and research activities on the regulation of cyber activities arranged by Dr Mapp in collaboration with industry.
