Linden Thomas, who is a lecturer, in-house solicitor and manager of the Centre for Professional Legal Education and Research at Birmingham Law School has been appointed as the Deputy Vice President of Birmingham Law Society.

Birmingham Law Society is the largest local law society in the country, representing over 4000 solicitors, barristers, legal executives, trainee solicitors and paralegals in 130 practices in Birmingham and the Greater Midlands.  The Society promotes the legal sector in Birmingham, provides representation for its members at local, national and international level and offers training and networking opportunities for its membership. 

As Deputy Vice President, Linden will work alongside the other Officers to promote the work of the Society and its members.  This is the start of a three year commitment, as following a year as Deputy Vice President, Linden should take up the reigns as Vice President, before becoming President in April 2019.
