Birmingham Law School is now inviting applications for an ESRC Doctoral Studentship in socio-legal studies as part of the Midlands Graduate School.

The Midlands Graduate School is an accredited Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP). One of 14 such partnerships in the UK, the Midlands Graduate School is a collaboration between the University of Warwick, Aston University, University of Birmingham, University of Leicester, Loughborough University and the University of Nottingham.

The School has an excellent track record of supporting applications for these studentships and this year, we have welcome two ESRC funded students into the school.

Our ESRC studentships cover fees and maintenance stipend (if eligible) and extensive support for research training, as well as research activity support grants.

The closing date for studentship applications is Thursday 18 January 2018. Interested students are encouraged to make contact as soon as possible with their prospective supervisor(s) who will be able to provide support with drafting applications.

Please visit the MGS website for information on how to apply for funding and to check your eligibility.
