golovine

The Department of Art History, Film and Visual Studies is pleased to announce the launch of its official blog, The Golovine (http://thegolovine.wordpress.com).

The Golovine, which takes its name from Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun’s portrait of Countess Golovin, one of the Barber’s most iconic images, is designed to present and promote the study of art history, film and visual cultures at the University of Birmingham, to showcase the research and projects undertaken by our staff, postgrads and undergrads, and to encourage comment and debate about the arts.

You can also follow the department on our twitter account too: @TheGolovine and email us at thegolovine@gmail.com
