December saw the return of the Modern Languages Christmas Party, which was attended by Undergraduates, Postgraduates and staff in the Department as well as Erasmus and International students from across the University.
Drinks and seasonal sweetmeats were had by all and guests were again welcomed by Father Christmas, who this year delivered a Dada manifesto in French. There followed an impressively lively student performance of French rap, and the evening concluded with a Modern Languages quiz hosted by the aforementioned Père Noël. Very warm thanks to everyone who came, and especially to Libby (our Student Experience Officer) and our student helpers - Charlotte, Laura and Rachel - for organising the event.
