Placing particular emphasis on the communication of the sciences, the nomination and shortlisting recognized Caroline’s work in bridging the gap between sciences, technology and the humanities. She was commended by the judges for public engagement and social media activities connected to the Baudelaire Song Project, directed by Professor Helen Abbott, and to the Europeana-funded Visualising Voice Project.

Caroline attended the Elsevier Early Career Researcher Awards, held at the Royal Society in London on 4 October 2018.
