On 24 June, Dr Louise Hardwick gave an invited talk at the Institut Français in South Kensington as part of a conference paying tribute to the great French Caribbean poet Aimé Césaire.
Louise discussed an innovative teaching and learning website she has designed to introduce students to the Cahier d’un retour au pays natal. The resource has won prizes and attracted interest from academics in the UK and France. It is available to all French students at Birmingham via WebCT and runs alongside the scheduled lectures and seminars.
