The MCAA is committed to the promotion of women researchers and is sensitive to gender issues in research, and a Women in Science (WiS) working group has been established, working to promote the Gender Equality for Mobile researchers in Science (GEMS). The profiles in the ebook are intended to provide young women who are just starting out in their research careers with inspirational role models, by providing realistic information about career opportunities and challenges.
