Professor John Klapper's book on Nonconformist Writing in Nazi Germany (Camden House, 2015) has been awarded the Outstanding Academic Title award for 2016 by Choice magazine.
Choice is the main US journal for academic acquisitions librarians and its list of outstanding academic publications is chosen from amongst the 25,000 titles submitted during the year. Fewer than 3% of these titles are selected for the distinction. The award letter states: “These outstanding works have been selected for their excellence in scholarship and presentation, the significance of their contribution to the field, and their value as important - often the first - treatment of their subject. Outstanding Academic Titles are truly the best of the best.”
