Dr Shelley Godsland from the Hispanic Studies Section organised an international symposium that considered the importance of the use of memory in crime and detective fiction from Latin America. Organised under the auspices of NELA (Porto’s Núcleo de Estudios LatinoAmericanos), the symposium brought together leading scholars in the field from the USA, the Republic of Ireland, the UK, Italy, Colombia, New Zealand and Spain.
