Dr Charlotte Ross has been awarded a networking grant by the AHRC, for the project 'Queer Italia'.
She will be working closely with her co-organisers, SA Smythe (University of California, Santa Cruz) and Julia Heim (CUNY), as well as with colleagues in many universities in the UK, US, and Italy. The aim of the project is to build an international network of scholars, activists and cultural practitioners, who will engage meaningfully with queer sexualities, identities, cultures, scholarship, and politics in Italy, establishing dialogue and collaboration between academics and those working outside the university. The project will include 5 workshops, to be held at the University of Verona, the University of Piemonte Orientale, the University of Naples (L'Orientale), the IMLR (London) and CUNY. The project will run from September 2016-September 2018. A website with more details will be launched at the start of the project.
