On Thursday January 26th Dr Jamie Rann, Teaching Fellow in Russian, spoke to Adrian Chiles on his BBC 5Live show about the difficulties and beauties of the Russian language.
Dr Rann contributed to the 'The A to Ya of Russia' segment that the station is running in advance of the football World Cup in Russia this summer. In a lively and wide-ranging discussion, Dr Rann and another guest talked about everything from the Russian alphabet to Russian swearing, via corner kicks and football chants."
