In Metallurgy and Materials we explore how materials behave and how they can be used and improved. We work closely with industry to accelerate the rate at which innovations reach practical application using manufacturing methods which have revolutionised materials performance and safety.

Our research-intensive teaching gives students a learning experience that generates the most sought-after and transferable skills. We offer a range of taught and research degrees including Materials Science and Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and Metallurgy.
