As well as overall student satisfaction, students were particularly satisfied with the quality of teaching, both the assessment and feedback, and the focus on personal development at Birmingham.

The National Student Survey has been undertaken annually since 2005 and is open to final year undergraduate students at institutions in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The survey is designed to assess students' opinions of the quality of their degree programmes, with seven different scores published including an "overall satisfaction" mark.

NSS is conducted by Ipsos MORI on behalf of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). The NSS survey highlights the School’s commitment to outstanding student experience and reinforces the University's position as a high quality world-class institution.
