Andy Haasz joined the School of Metallurgy and Materials in 2019 after a career of 40+ years in the Aerospace business at Rolls-Royce Limited.  Andy’s career included roles such as company specialist in structural dynamics, Chief Design Engineer for a number of Defence products and Head of Function.  His last senior role was Head of Component Engineering, a company-wide role responsible for the development of design capability including skills, rules, tools and methods. Andy was also appointed the Rolls-Royce Engineering Fellow in Systems Design.

Andy’s interests include; Design Systems, Digital Design Methods, Systems Engineering, Vibration and Structural Dynamics and Rotor-dynamics.
