HiROS team at ThinkTank

Many thanks to members of the HiROS research group who took part in the "Meet the Scientist" outreach event at the Birmingham Thinktank Museum last week. The group presented a variety of activities related to sound and resonance, results on "sounding stars" with asteroseismology, and a "create your own exoplanet lightcurve" activity, all of which proved popular with children and their parents.

The activity also linked in with an art-science installation running at Thinktank (supported with a grant from the Institute of Physics), which is the result of a collaboration between the group and sound artist Caroline Devine. Caroline recently began a 10-month residency in the School of Physics and Astronomy, supported by a Leverhulme Trust "Artist in Residence" award.
