A global network dedicated to linking serial crimes recently met for a three-day workshop.
The event was hosted in Birmingham and attended by 16 delegates from seven countries.
Both police practitioners and academics were present at the workshop to share knowledge of crime linkage and discuss the progress of research.
The workshop was part of the Crime Linkage International Network (C-LINK), which was set up in May 2013 and includes academics and police officers from across the world.
The group has also taken part in research trips to South Africa and Finland.
C-LINK’s members include Birmingham’s Dr Jessica Woodhams (pictured), who has presented at a range of events including the Better Policing Research Fair in April.
Jessica also gave a keynote talk at the European Association of Psychology and Law conference in Russia in June.
Dr Amy Burrell, who also works at the School of Psychology, has presented to practitioners in Finland and South Africa about crime linkage and the C-LINK project.
