Dr Jessica Woodhams and Dr Amy Burrell are soon to embark on a research trip to South Africa. The visit has been arranged through the Crime Linkage International Network which was set up by Dr Woodhams in May 2013, and is the first of its kind to bring together academics and practitioners with a professional interest in linking crimes committed by a common offender.

Dr Woodhams and Dr Burrell will be working closely with the South African Police Service to gather data for a large scale research project on linking serial crimes. They have also both been invited to speak at a specialist conference for the South African Police Service during their stay.
