The Centre for Forensic and Criminological Psychology has had double success in the recent round of awards given by the Division of Forensic Psychology (British Psychological Society).
Dr Juliane Kloess, a Research Fellow in the Centre, was awarded the Junior Award for her work into the sexual exploitation and abuse of children via Internet technologies. As part of a research programme at the University, she is currently based within a specialist unit at West Midlands Police, which deals with various types of sexual offences that are committed via the Internet.
In addition, Dr Dawn Fisher, an Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the Centre, was awarded the Senior Practitioner Award for her work in offender rehabilitation, particularly with adults and young people displaying sexually inappropriate behaviour.
Both will receive their awards at the Annual Conference for the Division of Forensic Psychology in Brighton in June.
