Senior Lecturer in the School, Dr Joseph Galea, has recently been awarded the British Association for Cognitive Neuroscience (BACN) Early-Career Award for his significant contribution to the field of Cognitive Neuroscience.
Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology, Dr Joseph Galea, has recently been awarded the British Association for Cognitive Neuroscience (BACN) Early-Career Award for his significant contribution to the field of Cognitive Neuroscience.
Dr Galea’s work examines the role of reward in motor learning across health and disease using robotics, computational modelling, genetics and pharmacology.
His work has been published in many high-profile peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Neuroscience, Cerebral Cortex, Current Biology, and Nature Neuroscience and is currently funded by a prestigious ERC starting grant (MotMotLearn).
As part of his award, Dr Galea will be giving a prize lecture at the 2018 BACN annual meeting.
