An article recently published in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disabilities by Dr Caroline Richards and Professor Chris Oliver has been converted into a 60-second video on Facebook by autism researcher Professor Andrew Whitehouse, in Australia. The post has been viewed 12,000 times.
The original paper demonstrated that self-injury in children and adults with autism is associated with painful health conditions and difficulties in impulse control.
