Undergraduate Study in the Department of Philosophy

You will be taught by world-class talent in fields as diverse as Metaphysics, Philosophy of Psychiatry, Epistemology, Ethics (including Bioethics, Global Justice and the Ethics of Non-Violence), Philosophy of Religion, and the Philosophy of Mind. You will develop and refine your philosophical skills and background knowledge to engage with some of the deepest questions human beings have ever asked. You will meet the great minds of history and the present day on equal terms, not just learning what they thought, but engaging with them critically.

The undergraduate Philosophy course structure allocates plenty of time on each philosophical question which allows us to fully analyse the problem and experiment with different ideas. This makes essay writing much easier, especially with the extra support from my lecturers that is available to me.
