Professor Francis Davis spoke in parliament this week to launch his new study - 'Ageing in Rwanda: Challenges for Church, State and Nation' - at a packed meeting hosted and chaired by Flick Drummond MP.

The Bishop of Durham, Paul Butler, spoke in response commending the report and the Elise Pilkington Charitable Trust who had made it possible.

Adding to a scarce literature on ageing and the elderly in Sub Saharan Africa the publication uncovers intense needs , elder abuse and gaps in international development and national social protection. Co- authored with Emmanuel Muringira and Madleina Deinhardt and published by the Cadbury Centre and Tearfund it can be downloaded in PDF format below:
