Professor Francis Davis

Professor Francis Davis was a guest on BBC Radio 4’s Sunday programme, sharing his view on what’s needed to build a better society.

In particular, Francis championed the role of recent mayors, including Sadiq Khan (London), Andy Street (West Midlands) and Andy Burnham (Greater Manchester), in building communities and local cohesion. He argued that centralising education and transformation funds, for example, doesn’t unlock the potential of everyone in society.

Francis was joined by the Reverend Simon Woodman, Co-minister of Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, London, for the programme, which takes a look at the ethical and religious issues of the week.
