Professor Francis Davis visited Reading, met with the Council leader and was hosted by the Local Strategic Partnership and Reading Connect on 11 May 2017.

Professor Francis Davis visited Reading, met with the Council leader and was hosted by the Local Strategic Partnership and Reading Connect to explore issues of social innovation and inclusion at a time of change. Exploring the challenges of health reform and community cohesion the event was chaired by the leader of Reading council and those attending were leaders from the private, public and voluntary sectors across Reading and the wider Thames Valley. Afterwards he attended a private round table with faith leaders to explore social finance and the social action of the churches locally.

Professor Francis Davis is Professor of Communities, Religion and Public Policy at the University of Birmingham and Director of Public Policy of The Edward Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion.
