OAPs are being put through rigorous jet pilot testing to find out why the elderly suffer falls
The research of Dr Raymond Reynolds is featured in a recent science article in The Daily Mail. The article describes the use of equipment previously used to habituate fighter pilots to the extreme motions experienced in modern jet aircraft. Dr Reynolds is now using this kit to assess inner ear function in the elderly to help understand the causes of increased fall risk as we age.
