On Friday 1st November 2019, Dr Melrose Stewart presented the prestigious Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Founders Lecture to a sold out audience of 1400 people at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham. The conference marked the centenary year for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Association of Visually impaired Chartered Physiotherapists. Dr Stewart has been a member of the Society for over forty years celebrated achievements within the profession, identified challenges but the exciting range of opportunities that lie ahead for physiotherapists.
Dr Stewart is a lecturer in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
