Belong at Birmingham

Creating a welcoming, inclusive experience for everyone in student accommodation

We are in one of Europe's most diverse cities and it's incredibly important that everyone feels welcome.

We launched our Belong at Birmingham initiative to support Black students living in our accommodation. It was our response to Unite’s Living Black report which said only 43% of Black students surveyed across UK universities felt a sense of belonging in their student halls.

Here are their recommendations which we hope help new Black students feel extra welcome when they arrive in Birmingham.
