Welcome to our Open Day at the University of Birmingham. This is the perfect opportunity to explore our green and spacious campus, our state-of-the-art facilities and chat with our current students and staff. We're here to help you get future ready. So, make sure you come prepared with any questions you might have.

This is just the start of your university experience, so here are some top tips to make sure you have an amazing visit.

Firstly, make sure to plan your travel in advance. When coming to campus, we have limited parking, but we do have our own train station called University on the centre of campus. It's about seven minutes from Birmingham New Street, so it's really easy and convenient to use.

For our second top tip, book a campus tour. These are a great way to discover the hidden gems of our campus. You'll be in the safe hands with our helpful and friendly student ambassadors. They can answer all of your questions and show you the best part of student life. There's more to uni than just studying.

Studying is important though. So, for my top tip, make sure you find out more about the course that you're interested in. All of the subjects are putting on talks, taster sessions or holding drop-in sessions to ask questions. You can talk to current students
as well as lecturers and staff who will be supporting you whilst you're studying here.

Top tip number four, visit our accommodation villages. We have three villages and they're all within walking distance of campus. But it would be a lot to visit all of them on the day. So, we suggest looking at our accommodation options beforehand to make sure you visit your favourite one.

Top tip number five, plan all of this in advance. With all the activities we've mentioned and more, you can create your own personal itinerary. Make sure you book your place
on activities, tours, and talks so that you can make the most out of your trip. Just remember that our campus is big, so leave 10 to 15 minutes between each of your talks to get to each location.

Also, if you have the time, head in to Birmingham City Centre to explore our friendly and diverse city. There are loads of shops and plenty of restaurants to head to for dinner.

Finally, relax and enjoy your day. Our student ambassadors can help you at information points to make the most of your Open Day experience.

We can't wait to welcome you to the University of Birmingham.
