Yes. Make sure you use the University's ACL (Alternative Collection Location) code when you apply for your visa. There will be an Alternative Location box or field on the form. Enter the code: 2HE322. We’ll then let you know when your BRP has arrived.

You can pick up your student ID card on campus from Saturday 17 September. Visit the Welcome Registration Hub and we’ll have your card ready. Just remember to complete your Online Registration before you fly out to the UK. You’ll need to do this to get your ID card.

Of course. Once you’ve completed the Online Registration, simply log in at: verify.bham.ac.uk to access a range of Proof of Study letters. One is especially for opening a bank account.

There are lots of banks in Birmingham and they all offer different types of accounts, depending on your needs. While we can’t recommend a particular one, you can find lots of useful advice on opening a bank account here. Also, why not attend the Banking Fair during Welcome Week? There will be staff from local banks at the fair who can tell you about their accounts.

It’s easy. You’ll find the contact details for your Programme Admin team on our student intranet. They’ll be able to answer any questions you have about your programme or modules. For postgraduate researchers, your supervisor will be a good contact.
