What did you study at the University of Birmingham?
I studied in the College of Arts and Law, and my favourite module was Earliest English. At my home institution, I was studying Joint honours undergraduate History and English.
How was your academic year experience at the University of Birmingham?
I had the opportunity to study interesting topics that I really enjoyed, but what I loved most was how great and supportive many of my lecturers were. One of them especially encouraged me a lot and helped me when I was struggling with questions, my academic English, or if I wanted to explore a topic from the module further. This helped me so much with advancing both in the module and personally.
I would say my time at UoB was full of "Self-discovery, learning, unforgettable memories."
Any advice to students considering a global opportunity at UoB?
Most importantly: enjoy the time and have fun! This opportunity might not come again and even if you're going to miss it afterwards, you'll still have all the amazing memories to keep. I'd also recommend to not only focus on the academic programme, but make use of opportunities such as societies, to get creative and meet new people outside the international students bubble.
