What did you study at the University of Birmingham?
I studied in the College of Social Sciences, and my favourite module was Business Analytics. At my home institution, I was studying Finance.
How was your semester experience at the University of Birmingham?
What I loved most about my course at Birmingham was the seminars. They were way more relaxed and open than I expected. It wasn’t just sitting there and listening, we actually talked, shared ideas, and challenged each other in a good way. The small groups made it feel more personal, and it was easier to speak up without feeling awkward. I ended up learning a lot just from hearing different opinions and thinking about things in new ways.
I would describe my time at UoB as "Rainy, deadlines, memories."
Any advice to students considering a global opportunity at UoB?
Go for it. Studying at UoB is more than just classes. It is a chance to meet people from all over the world, experience new cultures, and grow both academically and personally. Be open to trying new things, even if they feel a bit outside of your comfort zone. The weather might surprise you so bring a jacket, but so will the small moments that make it all worth it. Say yes to opportunities, talk to people, and enjoy the ride because it goes by faster than you think.
