What did you study at the University of Birmingham?

I studied in the College of Social Sciences and my modules were: Decision Making and Control, Organisation Studies, Managing Financial Resources. At my home institution, I was studying Industrial Engineering.

How was your semester experience at the University of Birmingham?

University of Birmingham significantly influenced my career by fostering a global mindset. Collaborating with diverse students and adapting to a new academic system honed my adaptability and communication skills, which are highly valued in today’s professional landscape. It was a perfect start to a transformative experience.

I would say my time at UoB was full of "Self-discovery, connections, unforgettable memories."

Any advice to students considering a global opportunity at UoB?

My top advice would be to embrace every new experience. Step outside of your comfort zone and engage with the incredible UoB community. Be open to learning experiences, both in academics and daily life, join a society or participate in hall activities. And Last but not least, explore! Make the most of travel opportunities, both in the UK and all of Europe, especially if you come from far away like me.
