• Tours begin at 11:00 and 13:00, and will last approximately 45 minutes.
• Subject activity begins at 11:50 and 13:50. The duration will depend on the activity offered, such as a drop-in session or facility tour, and you may be able to leave earlier than the stated end time.
• Our tours will highlight key buildings and locations important to all postgraduate students studying with us and will not take you inside any subject-specific buildings nor accommodation. There may be subject-specific activities, taking place after the campus tours, that offer you the chance to tour specific buildings or facilities but this will vary by department and subject area.
• All tours are led by student ambassadors who are current postgraduate students and will be able to give you an insight into postgraduate study, and life in Birmingham. However, it is unlikely that the ambassador leading your tour will be from the course you are interested in.
• The entirety of your tour will take place outside, so please check the weather forecast and come prepared for any weather by wearing suitable clothing and footwear.
• If you have booked onto any subject activity following immediately after your tour, our ambassadors will guide you to the next location, so you do not need to worry about finding your way across campus.
• If you have only booked onto a subject activity, and have not booked onto a campus tour, please meet our ambassadors and College representatives at the entrance to the Main Library (R30 on the campus map). Our ambassadors are easily identifiable by their light blue hoodies that have 'postgraduate ambassador' written on their backs.
• When you book a session, you will receive a confirmation email for each session you have booked. Nearer to the date and time of your session(s), we will send you another email reminding you of all the details you need, such as information on where the tour will depart from.
• There will be toilet facilities and catering facilities available across campus in our buildings.
• Spaces are limited on our sessions to ensure that all guests can enjoy their visit thoroughly so early booking is advised. If you need to amend or cancel any of your bookings, you can do this via your personal RSVP page that will be emailed to you upon booking confirmation.
• If you or anyone accompanying you has any accessibility requirements, please advise us when booking your place. This will allow us to make all the necessary arrangements to ensure your visit is as easy as possible.
• Due to unforseen circumstances, we may be forced to cancel campus tours at relatively short notice. We will contact you via email if things need to change for any reason.

Please read our advice about getting to our Edgbaston Campus. We have our own train station at the University which is around 7 minutes from Birmingham New Street as well as plenty of bus connections. If you are driving to the University, then there are a number of pay and display car parks that you can use. We recommend the North East Car Park (Sat Nav postcode B15 2SA, pay and display charges apply), however parking on campus is extremely limited and visitors to campus are requested to visit us using public transport wherever possible.
