All Saints Educational Trust (ASET) provides individual awards to UK trainee and practising Religious Education and Home Economics (including Food and Textiles) subject teachers to support teacher education and help teachers improve their expertise through professional development.

ASET aims to help people become teachers, become better teachers, and to encourage teachers to stay in the profession. Award amounts will vary based on the individual circumstances of successful applicants.

Who can apply?

You must meet the following criterion to be able to apply:

  • You must be a UK citizen;
  • Trainee teacher applicants must be proposing to study Religious Education or Home Economics (including food and textiles) education or equivalent;
  • Trainee teacher applicants must be taking a programme that leads to qualified teacher status, or equivalent, from a United Kingdom higher education institution;
  • Practising teacher applications must focus on continuing professional development or postgraduate action research that improves teaching and is supervised by a UK higher education institution;
  • Both trainee teacher and practising teacher applicants must need the Trust's help: awards are not made where study could be funded from personal means or other available public funding.

How to Apply

For Teacher Training Applicants:

  • Round 1 applications closed on 7 April 2025;
  • Round 2 applications open 2 June and close 5pm 1 September 2025;
  • You should begin the application process in good time to complete and confirm your application before the closing date of 1 September 2025.

For Practising Teacher Applicants:

  • Applications open 2 June and close 5pm 1 September 2025;
  • You should begin the application process in good time to complete and confirm your application before the closing date of 1 September 2025.
