The prize was established by Professor Ian Brockington, former Chair of Psychiatry at the University of Birmingham. The first prize is valued at £250 and a second prize is valued at £100.

Who can apply?

The prize is open to current undergraduate students from the following colleges/schools/departments:

How to Apply

Applications should be made via the Professor Brockington Prize application form.

As part of the application form, applicants are required to upload an essay that is no longer than 2000 words. The essay will be a critical reflection of a mental health case and should be relevant to your subject of study.
