TI Group Postgraduate Scholarship

Two high‑calibre students with financial need will receive a £5,000 contribution towards a one‑year taught Masters in engineering beginning September 2026.

Thanks to the generosity of the TI Group the University of Birmingham is pleased to provide two high-calibre students, who may otherwise struggle financially, with a cash award of £5,000 to pursue a one-year taught Masters programme in engineering for entry in September 2026. 

The award is paid in two cash installments of £2,500: one installment in October 2026 and one in May 2027.

Who can apply?

Students must have received an offer to study one a one-year MSc engineering programme of their choice.

  • Eligible School of Chemical Engineering MSc programmes
  • Eligible School of Engineering MSc programmes
  • Eligible School of Metallurgy and Materials MSc programmes

Selection of successful candidates will be based initially upon financial needs and then upon academic achievement.

Eligible Countries and Nationalities

Applicants from EU, Overseas (Non-EU), and the UK are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

How to Apply

Applications should be submitted online using the TI Group PG Scholarship application form. Applications close on 12 July 2026 at 23:59.

Please ensure you complete all sections of the form and remember to provide detailed information on your financial situation as financial need is the main criteria of consideration for this award.

You will need to provide a PDF of your undergraduate transcript and a PDF/Word Document from your academic reference as part of the application so please have these documents ready when completing the application form.

It is important to remember that the availability of awards is limited and as such not all applications will be successful. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by the end of August 2026.
