The scholarship offers an award towards tuition fees for the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree programme at the University of Birmingham’s UK campus, starting in September 2026

Who can apply?

Please note that students already registered and studying on a programme at the University of Birmingham in the UK, and students applying for MBChB Medicine and Surgery or BDS Dental Surgery are not eligible for this scholarship.

By accepting the award, the scholar will agree to support the University by helping with future student visits, being available for testimonials/ photos/videos for marketing purposes and engaging in other activities such as blogging (if required).

In order to be eligible, candidates must:

  • Have received an offer from the University of Birmingham for a full-time undergraduate programme starting September 2025 2026. The student must be entering the first year of an undergraduate programme based at the Birmingham UK campus. The scholarship award cannot be deferred.
  • Expect to meet the academic conditions of their offer to the programme.
  • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and be able to pay the outstanding tuition fees not covered by the scholarship.
  • Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University of Birmingham, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
  • Submit their scholarship application by the deadline of 10 May 2026.

Eligible countries

Open to all nationalities but must be living in (domiciled) Turkey.

How to Apply

To apply for the scholarship, students will need to have received an offer from the University of Birmingham and submitted the scholarship application form by the scholarship deadline of 10 May 2026.

Selection for the award will be based on academic excellence and the details provided in the scholarship application form.

Decision will be announced by the end of May, and the scholarship will be awarded upon the students’ enrolment in September 2026.

Recipients of the scholarship must select University of Birmingham as their firm choice on UCAS and submit their final high school academic results by July 5, 2026. Failure to complete these actions by the deadline will result in the scholarship being forfeited.

What is the value of the award?

The scholarship is for between £5,000 and £10,000 awards towards tuition fees (for the first year only) of a full-time Undergraduate degree programme at the University of Birmingham UK campus, starting September 2026.

When will successful candidates be notified?

Decisions will be announced by Friday 14th August at the latest and the scholarships will be awarded upon the students’ enrolment in September 2026.

Can this scholarship be combined with other scholarships?

This scholarship can be held in conjunction with scholarships issued by other University of Birmingham departments, terms and conditions of both scholarships permitting, but not with any full University of Birmingham scholarship or any partial or full external scholarship.   

Students seeking or have secured sponsorship from or via the Turkish Embassy, i.e. Ministries, Government or external organisations will not be eligible for this scholarship.
