UACES is offering four scholarships of £1,500 each to support fieldwork abroad for postgraduate students researching Contemporary European Studies. This includes topics related to post-WW2 European integration.

One scholarship is reserved for applicants from underrepresented backgrounds, such as ethnic minorities, students from Global South universities, or those in non-traditional disciplines.

Who can apply?

Applicants must be:

  • a UACES member
  • Enrolled in a postgraduate research programme (e.g., PhD)
  • Research must take place between 1 February and 31 December 2025
  • Open to students worldwide
  • One award reserved for applicants from underrepresented backgrounds

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is available to applicants from the EU, Overseas (Non-EU) and UK.
