Placements, Year Abroad, and Internships

When you are undertaking a university facilitated learning experience (such as study abroad, a mandatory placement, a year in industry or an internship) away from your usual campus, you are University of Birmingham student first and foremost.

If something doesn’t feel right during your placement—workload, wellbeing, relationships with supervisors, or unexpected challenges—you can get support from the university by contacting your Placement Supervisor, Wellbeing Team, or using Report+Support.

All of the of university resources and support are available to you at any point during your learning experience, and we are here to support you with any issues that arise.
