For international students and postgraduates, our specialist advisers offer enhanced support. From one-to-one guidance and group workshops to comprehensive online resources, we provide the tools and advice you need to shape your future with confidence.
Careers Network will help you to:
Explore your options after graduation: working, studying or setting up your own business.

- Meet alumni and employers through sector insight events, alumni panels and careers fairs.
- Connect with senior leaders through a mentoring scheme.
- Get ready for the recruitment process with application and interview workshops, feedback appointments and online resources.
- Create and innovate with our B-Enterprising programme.

The Birmingham Award
The Birmingham Award is the University of Birmingham's recognised employability programme for undergraduate students.
Endorsed by graduate employers, the award supports you to develop and recognise the skills you gain through extra-curricular activities, and how to articulate these skills in preparation for real world recruitment process.
The award is completely flexible so you can make it work for you, it is open to all undergraduate students in any year.
Mentoring
Shape your future with one-to-one mentoring from our alumni. Our mentors provide practical careers advice and real-world insight, supporting you as you prepare to enter the workplace. Through career planning and application workshops, drop-ins and individual appointments, you'll have countless opportunities to develop, with dedicated help for international students and freelancers too.
