What are your career goals after graduating?
I would like to dedicate a year or two to work in research, applying the skills I have gained through my masters degree and expanding on them. My ultimate goal as a doctor, and with my MSc in Health Research Methods is to contribute to impactful research especially in the fields of mental health and women’s health, and to integrate evidence-based medicine, which is rooted in research, into my practice.

Interactive teaching methods that effectively involves students in the learning process, creating a collaborative and supportive environment for us to learn, engage, and reflect.
Tell us how the course has helped you to develop your skills for your current/future career.
My ultimate career plan is to conduct research in parallel with my clinical practice, which will be guided by evidence through research. This course equipped me with the necessary analytical tools and knowledge to evaluate research and evidence presented in research, as well as learning the foundations to conduct different types of studies and how to statistically analyze and interpret data.
What are the best things about your course?
The best aspects of this course is how the modules blend theoretical information with practical applications.
Why did you choose to study your current course?
As a doctor, I have witnessed the impact of research on patient outcomes and on the evolution of medicine, which drove me to pursue this degree in hopes of participating in the enhancement of evidence and medical practice.
Why did you choose to study at the University of Birmingham?
The University of Birmingham is renowned for its research excellence especially in the health field, making it a top choice for me. Additionally, the modules included in this course were very important, which solidified my choice to pursue this degree at UoB.
