Student

I took this joint honours course to explore a passionate interest I had in both English and film.
Chancellors Court, University of Birmingham

Why I chose Birmingham

When looking at courses and deciding my future it was actually the sister of a friend that had done my course, English Literature and Film, and recommended it to me. Instantly felt interested in the aspects of the joint degree and then felt the lure of University of Birmingham when i came for Open Day and I saw the beautiful campus. Even through the doom and gloom of rain, the impressive amass of buildings and Old Joe at the centre. I loved how secluded the campus is and that it wasn't different buildings jotted around the city where it was easy to get lost in.

My favourite memory

I think one of my favourite memories would be watching films in the Carol for my course and feeling united as a course. Like when we watched Red Dragon a Hannibal story that despite intending to be more of a horror turned into a comedy under our eyes, or watching Chun-King Express and hearing the crowd sing a along to California dreamin' by The Mamas & Papas as we listen to it for the 82nd time, or the jeers and adlibs we added to other films and the inside jokes and references that we then made.

My favourite place

Bristol road would be my favourite place in Birmingham which is odd... because its a road. However, its home to various of shops that I've been so many times i couldn't count. Fast food/chicken shops that I frequent usually late at night after a night out. Bristol road is the street where my friend accommodation is on and I have had many of my favourite memories here. The road also leads all the way down, once you pass the trees of Edgbaston, to town and passes by my own accommodation.
