This experience not only enriched my skill set but also facilitated connections with professionals in the research industry. Following the successful completion of the initial project, I was offered another exciting 7-month research opportunity, which I am currently doing.

What advice would you give to current students studying on your degree programme?
Feel free to seek additional support! Embarking on a new academic journey can be overwhelming, and you may encounter unfamiliar content and assignment formats. Remember, your lecturers and tutors are readily available to assist you—asking for help is a smart move, and you won't be judged for it, believe me.
