What made you choose to study Business Management?
The business school is triple crown accredited and ranked highly (still does). I remember visiting an Offer Holder Visit Day and hearing about all the opportunities outside of the course such as study abroad opportunities, placements, semesters at the Dubai campus. I wanted to go to uni for more than just the academics so this really appealed to me.
How has Birmingham helped you throughout your studies?
Careers Network have massively helped me: from supporting my in first year when applying to B-Experienced Internships to helping me receive offers for 2 placement years in second year. In Year 2, I saved the Marketing Society, which was such an incredible and rewarding opportunity so the Guild helped me & my committee a lot during that year. We grew the society from 0 to 117 members, won the Kick-Start Award at the Guild Awards, secured a sponsorship from Mars, put on 6 guest speaker events and the society is still going!
What's your favourite place in Birmingham?
It’s difficult to pick just one as there’s several areas that I love, and they all serve a different purpose. Whenever my parents come to visit me, I take them out for lunch on Harborne High Street and have a wander in the shops afterwards.
Digbeth is quirky and has lots of activities there, so it’s always a safe bet if you need to entertain people. I’d recommend the crazy golf and Mama Roux’s! There’s plenty to do in the city centre too, whether it’s shopping in the Bullring, listening to the live music at Albert’s Schloss or visiting the German Christmas Markets in winter.
