Why did you originally apply to do MSci Chemistry with a Year in Industry at Birmingham?
I originally applied to do my chosen course at Birmingham because I have always enjoyed Chemistry and was intrigued and excited by the opportunity to do an industrial placement during my degree, which I thought would come in handy when applying to jobs later on!
What do you think are the best points of MSci Chemistry with a Year in Industry?
There is a lot of support given to you by the academics and tutors, allowing you to better your understanding of the concepts you're studying.
What's the best thing about studying at the University of Birmingham?
The campus is really pretty, so it never feels like a chore having to go to class!
What's your highlight of your time at the University?
My highlight so far has been all the time spent with the new friends I made on my course, including when we went to the German Christmas Markets in Birmingham city centre!
What advice would you give to students thinking about studying MSci Chemistry with a Year in Industry?
It is a big step up from A Level but it’s definitely doable. Remember to make use of your time efficiently, and enjoy every second of it!
